One of the company’s bosses Rosemary Reid says the venue will have between 40 to 50 HD screens showing not only football but sport from across the world.
Ms Reid, who previously owned a restaurant in Troon, said Bar Sport would bring something different to Irvine and offers a family-friendly atmosphere.
A former nurse, the Irvine woman said she believed her new venture would be a positive addition to the town centre.
National Franchise Manager Keith Fox said he and his colleagues would stay on-site in Irvine for “as long as they require” to get the bar up and running.

He also revealed that Bar Sport regularly host major sporting stars for appearances and

promised similar events for the new Irvine site.

Mr Fox said: “This will be our first foray north of the border, we’ll be onsite for as long as is required. We generally stay on site for between three to six months to help them establish their business and assist with their recruitment, we don’t just hand them the keys and leave them to it.

The experience is different to anything out there in the High Street in Scotland. We can bring in sporting stars and have a direct channel into boxing. We have had people like Anthony Joshua and Joe Calzaghe appear and we even imported Floyd Mayweather following one of his world championship wins.”
He added that the audio visual experience on offer “was second to none” and is one of the most expensive aspects of the investment.

Regular visits with sporting heroes is par for the course at Bar Sport. From Boxing Champions and Football Stars to International Rugby and Cricket Players, these are the aspects that make Bar Sport Franchise the most widespread sports bar franchise in the UK.

Select Contract Furniture are delighted to have been nominated to provide the interior furnishings for the 350 person capacity bar/restaurant and were heavily involved with the owners and Franchise Team in the selection of suitable tables, chairs, stools and fixed seating to facilitate the diverse requirements of this exciting new venue.

Practicality and aesthetics were of paramount importance in conjunction with the Franchise parameters and all parties were delighted with the final selection which ticks all the boxes and meets the required criteria for a high volume American-themed environment.

Bar Sport Irvine is due to open at the start of March 2017.
